ROLE:
- Investigating and troubleshooting SQL alerts reported in SCOM
- Making sure that all SQL servers are patched with Client’s latest approved patches
- Installing new SQL instances and making sure they follow the Client’s default configuration
- Taking care of backup and restore operations with TSM backup tool
- Working on decommission of old SQL servers
- Troubleshooting SQL issues reported in Cherwell
- Functioning as a SPOC filter for the 3rd level SQL specialists
- Following guidelines and documentation created by 3rd level SQL specialists
- Creating necessary documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 4 years of experience from a similar position
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft’s SQL 2008/2012/2014/2016
- Knowledge about SQL queries, stored procedures
- Experience within Virtualization
- Familiar with Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering
- Hands-on experience of PowerShell and VB
- Familiar with Always On
- A good knowledge of ITIL/MOF
- Very good troubleshooting skills
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
