As a SRE Devops Engineer/Cloud Data Engineer, you will be assigned to the Data Reliability Engineering Team of our Client – one of the most recognized Investment Banks in the world. You will be in charge of rebuilding from scratch a strategic reference Data Master system (Client, Product, Account) and implement it on the Cloud. One of the key stakes is to migrate the existing data ecosystem to more modern data distribution techniques such as APIs, Streaming, Cloud, to provide new business capabilities, reduce total cost of ownership, and create a competitive advantage for the bank.
- Create a new Data EcoSystem from scratch
- Create dashboards and metrics for event monitoring and alerting
- Build single consolidated batch and stream data pipeline
- Interact with warehouse users in strategies and business-aligned technology teams spread around the globe and across various time zones
- Improve the performance with various modern technologies
- Integrate the created system/software into existing platforms with high quality
- Consult on architecture and design, bootstrap,
- Implement key projects for the Bank
- Architect, implement, validate integrations with 3rd party applications
- Take advantage of a high infrastructure and cloud solution
- Apply CI/CD
- Identify process improvements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- IT Degree in Computer Science, equivalent STEM focus, or relevant DevOps experience
- Strong software engineering and programming skills (preferably Java and Python or Javascript)
- Proficiency with operational infrastructure and system administration such as Unix/Linux experience
- Experience in data and data infrastructures such as databases, SQL, NoSQL, building operational dashboards with SLOs is a strong plus
- Experience with SDLC/CI/CD and testing frameworks
- Experience in working with large software systems
- Experience in working with Prometheus or similar systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and to be a team player
- Openness to work in proprietary programming languages/environments
- Fluent English
