Support Engineer

Responsibilites
- to provide phone and email technical support to the users based remotely
- to progress all assigned support incidents and document their lifecycle to facilitate identification of the root cause leading to the remediation action taken up by the development team
- to contribute as a whole to the Level 3 support to ensure software is kept up to date and all feedback is done promptly
- provide out of hours support where required by the users or company
- to maintain and develop professional working relationships with users and stakeholders
- to undertake other work which is consistent with the nature of the job
- to coach the Production Support team in technical issues to enhance their user interactions
- develop and maintain several software components forming the trade capturing platform
Requirements
Mandatory:
- SQL experience
- Java experience
- excellent client facing skills
- happy to work on a rotational basis
- you will need to be flexible with your schedule. Your work hours will be based on business needs
- excellent verbal and written communications skills in English (IELTS or TOEFL certification would be a plus)
Nice to have:
- Agile/Scrum experience
- experience with working in a distributed environment
- experience with working in the financial domain
