Systems Reliability Engineer with Java

Responsibilites
- Develop and maintain bank's strategic development platform with a view to improving scalability, reliability, performance and resilience
- Design and influence infrastructure design for resilience and scalability
- Provide expertise on software dependencies conflict resolution and management
- Provide expertise on software configuration management good practices
- Provide 3rd level support for the community and liaise with 1st and 2nd level support team
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and solve issues by automating repetitive tasks
- Create and update product-/process documentation and service knowledge-base
- Act as project's Subject Matter Expert for IT Community
Requirements
- At least 4-5 years of documented experience in delivery of software construction projects
- DevOps experience
- Strong knowledge of software configuration management and various repository management systems
- Strong Application development background with a focus on Java, in an enterprise environment
- Expertise in software construction process, life-cycle and application development good practices
- Understanding of software quality management and assurance principles
- Familiarity with software development tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, SVN, Fisheye/Crucible and others
- Experience with continuous integration servers (TeamCity, Jenkins, ...)
- Ability to partner with senior stakeholders both in the team and across teams
- Dedicated self-starter, ability to drive a team and its contribution
- Good English language skills is a must
Nice to have:
- Grails/Groovy
- Apache/Tomcat skills
- Track record on Linux java application debugging and tuning
- Experience with REST API
- Work experience in large multinational corporations
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
