Team Leader Accounting with German

Summary
Manages a team of accounting specialists. Coordinates work assignment and monitors progress. Guides and motivates team members. Ensures smooth service delivery in accordance with the agreed SLA’s.
Responsibilities
- Participates in transition of the accounting process: transfers knowledge, creates process documentation, trains team members
- Manages a team of accounting specialists (includes recruiting, performance review, motivation, career development, etc.)
- Distributes and monitors workload
- Maintains backup structure in the team
- Maintains proper knowledge level of the team
- Monitors metrics and takes action to prevent backlogs and corrective actions in case metrics are not met
- Creates, revises and proposes updates to process documentation
- Identifies areas of improvement and takes part in quality and training initiatives (error analysis, CSAT results, etc.)
- Takes part in calls with client, business partners and process leads
- Populates and analyzes reports
- Provides new hires and refreshers trainings in the area of expertise
- Performs various accounting activities
- Responds to queries from vendors, customers and local finance teams by phone and email
- Participates in internal and external audits
- Ensures compliance with all company policies
You have
- Proficient in MS Office tools
- English &German written and spoken min. B2 level
- Good understanding of the accounting principles
- Previous AP or AR experience required
- Team coordination experience
- SAP experience nice to have
- People management skills & ability to guide and motivate team
- Customer and target oriented
- Decision making abilities
- Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships
- Good time management, prioritization skills and ability to work without close supervision and under time pressure
- Experience of BPO will be good to have, although not essential
