Job details
As a Technical Consultant you are responsible for all Technical Support, which will be carried out via the service portal, telephone and remote connection to customer systems.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Investigate, document and resolve the technical problems passed to the Technical Support team via service request call logging system. These problems can include such things as Hardware, Operating Systems, RDBMS and Web configurations.
- Process all calls in accordance with published response times / escalation procedures.
- Deliver the full range of technical services to customer base both remotely and on site.
- Carry out essential daily remote checking of customer systems.
- Comply with Company’s information and Security Requirements and all Company business procedures, policies and ISO/BS standards.

Experience
- Experience with implementation of new systems into existing infrastructures.
- Experience of VMware and other virtualization software.
- Previous experience working in a client server environment, supporting either SQL Server 2005, 2008 or 2012, carrying out routine maintenance, housekeeping and performance tuning. SQL 2012 experience preferred.
- Experience in writing SQL queries.
- Experience of ODBC database access.
- Experience of IIS.
- Experience of configuring and administering in a Windows environment including Active Directory preferred.
- Experience with Agresso or other financial systems preferred.
