- Lead the Wroclaw Development and QA teams
- Taking responsibility of project deliveries and releases
- Coordinate the recruitment process
- Work with Business Analysts, the business and other IT providers to drive change requests and new features to production
- Join the global development team in providing level 3 support on a rotational basis
- Working with global development teams and collaborating with multiple global supporting teams
- Involvement in all aspects of the development lifecycle
- Development with a strong emphasis on a code quality: unit testing, code reviews with Crucible, static code analysis, continuous integration with fully automated functional, performance, distributed and concurrency testing suites
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Team Leader/Scrum Master experience
- Basic command of SQL (CRUD) and UNIX
- Understanding of Java core and messaging (JMS)
- Experience with all phases of the systems development lifecycle
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with distributed, low latency, high availability systems
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Financial products - specifically FX and OTC derivatives products - would be advantageous
- Experience in Spring, Oracle Coherence, multi-threading (Java concurrency library), Java memory management, ORM (preferably Hibernate), Hazelcast or Sybase are an advantage
The role provides the opportunity to participate in the development of critical, pre-trade credit-checking system. The developed system must support low latency responses to electronic trade execution platforms in four global regions within 5ms for spot and forward products. It is a key control system for managing the Investment Bank's Credit Risk.
Low-latency requirements, system's distributed nature and strict availability requirements make the project especially interesting to work in. Additionally, the role gives a superb opportunity for an ambitious candidate to gain a unique experience in a mission critical system in Credit Risk area.
