Responsibilites
- Participation in the data ingestion design and implementation
- He/she will also provide subject matter expertise and 3rd level support to ensure the smooth running of systems and quick recovery from outages/downtime.
- Ensure timely delivery of requirements in line with project milestones.
- Report regular progress to the Project Manager
Proportion of duties:
- approx. 50% - new development
- up to 25% - testing
- up to 25% - maintenance of existing code
Project details:
- Stage: New deliveries / Production operation
- Methodology: Kanban/Scrum like
- Technologies used: Actimize Vendor platform, Bash/Perl, Oracle DB, PowerShell on Windows
Requirements
As an Technical Implementation Consultant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Flexibility in moving across different technologies (i.e. Oracle, Java, Unix) to deliver platform solutions as required by platform technological stack.
- Demonstrated can-do attitude.
- Practical experience with SQL and relational database management systems (Oracle preferable).
- Very strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a team and adapt style to ensure the project is successful.
- Working experience with: Jira, SVN, Enterprise architect.
- A self-starter who can proactively engage with peers and clients to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Ability to design process flows and write functional specifications.
Desirable:
- Expertise in ETL processes design and implementation, data lifecycle management, maintenance of batch loading processes based on flat files or queues is a plus.
- Hands on experience in using Unix/Linux operating systems and practice in bash/perl scripting.
- Experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products such as Business Process Management (BPM) / Workflow systems.
- Professional background of working on large projects / large and complex systems.
- Understanding of financial markets.
- Know-how of UML methodology.
