Role Profile
NetReveal® has an opening for a technical Training Consultant within the Product Training team. The role of a Training Consultant is to provide training services to clients and staff on NetReveal® products and solutions. Key elements of the role are delivery of training, design and development of new training materials and, ultimately, the ownership of the development of new training capabilities e.g. e-Learning, or other delivery channels.
A NetReveal® Training Consultant is required to travel to other offices (regional and international) to deliver training to staff and clients as advised by their Regional Training Partner (RTP). Travel would typically be a few weeks at a time when delivering client based training.What you will be doing
The specific responsibilities that relate to this role include:
Delivery of training
- Deliver existing training courses on standard/mature solutions to clients, partners and internal staff
- Ensure all training materials required for a training event are present, up to date (correct platform and application versions) and working, including the training virtual machine
- Initiate meetings/conference calls with key stakeholders to organise the delivery of training
- Ensure all logistics associated with a training event are organised including training room, flight, accommodation, visa and any other requirements to complete the training event
- Record attendance at a training event according to RTP guidelines
- Solicit feedback post delivery of training using the training feedback form and continuously strive to improve both your trainer skills and the NetReveal® training materials
- Facilitate and support the delivery of self study training (such as the DataLab Academy) to internal staff
Training content development
- Create new training courses to meet identified training needs within the organisation, following the processes, standards, templates and guidance provided by the Training Development Partner (TDP)
- Customise existing training materials to meet specific region/client needs in consultation with relevant project manager/RTP/TDP
- Assist in the development of e-Learning content by converting classroom training materials into presenter and captivate formats with guidance from the TDP
- Ensure training materials are saved to teamshare for team review and knowledge sharing
- Ensure newly developed or updated training materials are uploaded to the training hub for general access
Product Knowledge
- Identify and build relationships with appropriate stakeholders in the product management and engineering teams to improve ability to create and deliver training materials
- Proactively seek to expand knowledge of NetReveal® products and solutions to share with the training team and internal staff
- Proactively seek to acquire domain knowledge and understand why NetReveal® products and solutions are configured in a particular way
What we are looking for
Essential:
- Experience in delivering training courses to technical audiences
- Understanding of J2EE architectures and object-orient programming, especially Java
- Comfortable setting up relational databases including Oracle, DB2, Dataserver and running scripts to update the database as required
- Understanding of application servers and how they work, including JBOSS, WebSphere, and WebLogic, and comfortable deploying these servers
- Linux or Unix experience
- SQL
- Experience in developing training courses and materials
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative
- Fluent English
