Unix Application Engineer

Essential:

• Solid experience of experience supporting/integrating Unix platforms (RHEL & Solaris primary)

(5+ years)

• Experience in enterprise support & integration of directory services (LDAP, NIS)
• Demonstrable expertise in core Unix technologies & services: shell/TCL scripting, perl, SSH, NFS
• Good knowledge of security concepts (identity management, entitlements management etc.)
• Proven technical analysis & problem-solving skills, experience of 3rd-level production support in

global environment

• Strong written & verbal communication skills in English

Desirable:

• Exposure to products such as ITIM (IBM Tivoli Identity Manager) or Centrify preferred
• Proven experience in Java development
• Knowledge of authentication protocols & services (Kerberos, PKI) an advantage
• Enterprise experience of operational implementation and management of privilege management

& provisioning solutions an advantage

• Ability to work in a team or with multiple organizational departments in a dynamic and rapidly

changing environment

• Industry certification in any of above technologies will be an additional asset (RHCE, Solaris, IBM

Tivoli Identity Manager)

This role will deliver core integration and support capabilities supporting the design, development & deployment of applications and processes leveraging core directory and automation services. Areas of focus will include directory-based authentication & entitlements, server provisioning & management and application integration services.

The person filling this role will be expected to own all aspects of production implementation, integration and support across a range of platform technologies and services that leverage them. It will also require the person in the role to help identify areas for process & operational improvements and design/development of tools and utilities in support of this. It will also involve helping implement and support processes and tools driving adoption of strategic platforms and processes.

The engineering team design, engineer, deploy and support multiple automation solutions across the Identity Management space focused on authentication, provisioning & entitlement services.
