Responsible for the day to day support, MS Windows server systems administration, maintenance and upgrade of server operating systems. Additionally there is a requirement to provide day to day support to user queries and customer advice. Due to the nature of the environment, there is often a necessity to carry out scheduled work outside of working hours.
Mandatory Skills:
- Technical Diploma - min. Bachelor's degree
- Experience at least 2 years MS Windows NT/2000/2003 administration in corporate environment
- Microsoft Certified Professional (or higher)
- Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Problem Determination & Analysis skills – high level
- Must have excellent team working skills balanced with ability to work alone and a positive attitude
- Backup and Recovery strategies
- Security strategies
- Cluster services maintenance
- Sites and Domain policies
- Server installation and server configuration
- Problem resolution
- Change implementation
- Good general IT literacy
- Problem and change management tools usage
- Good communication and documentation skills
Desirable Skills:
- HW (IBM, HP, COMPAQ, DELL)
- IBM Tivoli (monitoring and storage)
- Citrix terminal services
- Oracle DB
- Veritas BackupExec/NetBackup, ARCserve
