For one of our Client, who is a leading financial services company, we are actively looking for Data Analyst.
Project
We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Analyst to join our Wroclaw team and support us in performing data governance adoption of business critical data in our bank. Your main responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with analysts and Subject Matter Experts from Business and IT based in Zurich and Poland, to:
- Lineage - Analyze and document linage (how does the data flow through the bank, where is it sourced from, who consumes it, in what tables and interfaces it is contained, where it is transformed and how).
- Glossary and data modeling – understand what the data means, define a common conceptual glossary and a conceptual data model.
- Ownership of data – identify and appoint data owners and stewards who need to ensure adequate quality of the data and are the go-to persons for data consumers.
- Controls - Identify and document controls related to the data, identify data quality issues and inefficiencies in data flow.
- Data Architecture – define the data architecture in collaboration with IT Architecture and Group CDO.
- Deliver above in projects or works packages including reporting to program management and partners and participate in projects with other teams in our department that are related to data topics, for example data analytics.
- Support the further development of our capabilities, develop training material and guidelines, train team members.
- Continuous opportunities to work on other CDO projects according to your personal skill and preferences in data management or analytics.
You will support us to achieve:
- Well-founded business decisions based on governed and controlled data.
- Compliance with the BCBS239 regulation and other regulatory requirements.
- Digitalization of our processes.
- Enable business and IT to source the right data with adequate data quality for their purposes. We provide transparency of what data is available where in what quality for change projects and analytics.
Requirements:
- You have between 2-5 years of professional experience in data governance or business analysis in at least one of data concepts such as data modeling, glossary, data architecture, lineage or data quality.
- Experience in banking industry will be considered as an asset.
- You have strong analytical skills and problem solving capabilities.
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- You possess professional command of English.
- Your previous experience in Data Governance practice and tools such as Collibra, Rochade will be considered as an advantage.
- You work diligently and independently.
- You enjoy analyzing complex topics interacting with IT and business SMEs.
- You are interested in owning and developing topics and/or owning work packages and project streams and are willing to collaborate in projects across teams.
- Experience of SQL, or/and Tableau is a plus.
- You are a dedicated problem solver and you are happy to take initiative to improve.
