About you:
- you have an interest in home furnishings and people’s everyday life at home,
- you have experience of a management role in a customer-oriented business,
- understanding of profit and loss and how to affect its result through departmental actions,
- you are able to create and work on business plans, budgets and goals, using strategic thinking,
- you are able to engage people by creating passion for your plans,
- you have the ability to develop knowledge of the local market and business conditions quickly and take commercial decisions based on this information,
- you are fluent in written and spoken English and Polish,
- you are prepared to take challenges in other IKEA locations in Poland or in other countries in the future.

The challenging position of store sales manager calls for a person who can lead and inspire a team to optimize store sales and profitability through your knowledge of the IKEA product range, local market conditions and the needs of customers. Together with the expertise of your team and colleagues, you will help to secure the continued global success of the IKEA Concept – a concept that serves millions of satisfied customers each day.
Deputy is a person with potential to become a ready Sales Manager within maximum 2 years of intensive training.
About the assignment:
- optimising store’s sales and profitability by encouraging your team to take fast action on commercial opportunities and act on customer feedback, competition, supply and performance analyses,
- knowing the local market potential and working with your team and other store functions to plan and implement commercial activities that increase sales,
- working through the team and with the cooperation with other functions to ensure the store is in an excellent shape, with fully stocked sales spaces at all times and the width and depth of the IKEA range is presented in order to satisfy and inspire visitors,
- create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with your team and other colleagues and develop team members by agreeing clear goals and expectations, and conducting follow-ups,
- develop all sales team members with special accent on customer attitude, building business competences and securing succession.
