StepStone Services is a StepStone Group global IT Development Center located in Warsaw, supporting our European branches in application development and IT support for our web services across Europe. All the software that runs our websites is developed in-house.
Role purpose:
Be a part of DEVOPS team in Stepstone Brand organization. We’re constantly growing software house which builds solutions in complex environment. So far we have been successful in both development and maintenance areas but the moment we have been awaiting has come, we need to extend our team to be able to improve our cloud datacenter solutions and handle the rising queue of request from our developers.
You could be the one to help us. We need a DevOps with professional Linux experience to work with us and cooperate with other shared services teams like Release Engineering and Performance & Monitoring to develop solutions making everyday development nice and problems free.
- Work proactively to enhance performance availability and security at both the software and hardware level; including servers, network, storage, virtual infrastructure and backups.
- Interface with stakeholders to determine needs and cooperate with teams to ensure smooth operation of the system
- You will provide technical assistance to the Software Engineering teams responsible for application performance and monitoring
- Providing a Continuous Integration operational environment
- Automated deployment, testing, failover and monitoring
- Working with GIT/Stash and deployment management processes
We're looking for candidates who have:
- 2+ years of professional experience with Linux
- Professional experience in Linux systems administration
- Experience with Docker
- Automation/configuration management experience - Ansible
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, NAT, network topology
- Good command of English
Nice to have:
- Experience working with complex databases (both SQL and noSQL)
- Experience in software development and release processes
- Familiarity agile development methodologies
- Virtualization technology knowlege is a plus
- Experience with the ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) stack
- Tomcat, Apache, nginx, HAproxy knowlage is a plus
- AWS experience
