Responsibilites
- DevOPS Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of applications build, release, deployment, and configuration activities.
- This role is aimed to work closely with development, operations and other stakeholders to understand and align the departments requirements and goals and deliver proper solutions.
- Working closely with Release Manager.
- Develops/builds IT solutions to meet business requirements.
- Installs and configures solutions. Integrates solutions with other applications and platforms outside the framework.
- Maintains new and existing object reference files.
- Performs script maintenance and updates due to changes in requirements or implementations.
- Checks for compliance with all standards, policies and procedures. Builds automated deployments using configuration management technology.
- Documents and completes knowledge transfer to production support. Works with Release Management to ensure modules are production-ready.
- Creates release notes, deployment plans, etc.
- Verifies the functionality of components and services and ensures deployment meets client's expectations.
- Setup and support of automatic deployment procedures and mechanisms related to Continuous Integration In Java Projects
- Setup and support build and integration testing framework
- Interaction with service/tech departments on the customer side
- Administrative support of all processes/onboarding procedures for the local team (accounts, users onboarding, support) required by the customer
- Administrative support of SaaS platforms used by development teams
- Setting up and support of development and testing infrastructure / environments on local and remote servers
- Linux/Unix boxes administration (local and remote)
- Escalation of issues to customer services
Requirements
Main requirements:
- Very good level of English - spoken and written
- Technical knowledge about servers, storage, networks, databases, software development process
- Broad technical experience: administrating of Linux, Unix, Windows, networks, storage
- Shell scripting
- Administration and development/deployment experience with Oracle databases (for middle at least on of: Linux, Oracle Database or Weblogic/Tomcat etc.)
- Work Experience with Application servers Oracle Weblogic, Apache Tomcat (Installation, Configuration, Deployment, Tuning) (optional for middle)
- Work experience with revision control software (SVN, Git) client and server
- Work experience with Java, Maven, (Understanding java projects structure and build configurations and requirements)
- Grunt, Node JS
- Work experience CI process and tools related to java projects build on TeamCity (Initial projects configuration and support)
- Selenium, Protractor
Additional requirements (desirable):
- Experience in Agile/SCRUM
- Programming background: skills in at least one of high level programming languages (particularly scripting languages)
- uDeploy or other
