Network Security Architect is responsible for:
- designing and overseeing the building and configuration of secure enterprise network systems
- analyzing network data and systems to select the most appropriate control mechanism for the security required
- selecting software and hardware used to apply the control system
The position is a customer-facing and requiring regular interaction with other business stakeholders to help integrate their business requirements into the planning and implementation of the network security architecture.

- Must be able to articulate his/her knowledge of security considerations both verbally and in writing
- In-depth understanding of network security aspects
- Strategic planning
- Knowledge of (enterprise architecture) framework(s): Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture, NIST, COBIT
- Must be well versed in TCP/IP and the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) 7-layer model
- Advanced knowledge of security components including firewall products, such as Junipers, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco, and perimeter security technologies such as proxy servers, intrusion prevention/detection (IDS/IPS), WAF, antivirus, antimalware, anti-spam and unified threat management (UTM).
- Experience in network security virtualization and SDNs and / or eager to develop intensively
