About the Role
As an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Tester, you'll be instrumental in ensuring accurate, reliable, and high-performing data pipelines across systems. Your work will help maintain data integrity, ensure high-quality analytics, and empower data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and execute ETL test cases and strategies
- Perform source-to-target data validation for completeness and accuracy
- Validate transformation logic and verify business rule mapping
- Conduct data quality checks and anomaly detection
- Automate ETL testing using scripting languages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, developers, analysts)
- Log and manage defects using tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or TestRail
- Document test plans, results, and audit artifacts
- Participate in performance and volume testing
- Ensure data governance and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA)
- Support CI/CD workflows by integrating ETL tests into pipelines
- Strong experience in DW testing projects.
- Testing experience with Informatica Power Center or IDMC.
- ETL Data Testing experience with SQL.
- Teradata Database SQL knowledge
- Experience with test automation tools and scripting (Python, Shell).
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata, and lineage concepts.
- Understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins) for test automation integration.
- Testing experience with Snowflake.
- Experience in automation testing, scripting.
- Certifications in Informatica IDMC or related data testing tools.
- Experience with performance testing of data pipelines.
- Exposure to big data platforms and cloud-native testing frameworks.
