Description:
Provides first line people management, with responsibility for the team’s payroll activities across a set of EMEA countries. Provide day to day leadership, ensuring proper and adequate controls and processes, monitoring performance while managing and developing the payroll team.
- Monitors daily the team's performance, ensures direct reports meet their individual tasks, deadlines and perform to established standards
- Supporting the team to ensure each team member excel individually
- Motivates the team to work together towards the success of a common goal
- Solving problems, including root cause analysis and process improvement based on findings
- Evaluates and reports performance of service and takes corrective actions when needed
- Ensures adherence to SOX & other guidelines and supports internal & external audits
- Support ongoing outsourcing relationship with Payroll vendors in the region
- Ensures that payroll services are processed in accordance with established global policies and procedures along with all legislative compliance requirements
- Creates and implements realistic goals for team in alignment with EMEA Payroll strategy
- Builds & maintains long-term relationships with internal or external customers & key stakeholders (e.g. HR, Legal, Global Corporate Controllers, external vendors)
- Replicates Payroll best practices across countries within the team and ensures that process documentation is continuously updated
- 5+ years in European Payroll environment overall with increasing responsibility in the payroll, HR or finance function including global experience (EMEA required, APAC and LATAM preferred)
- Demonstrated strong leadership of Payroll global/remote team
- Large, Multi entity payroll leadership, required
- Experience in the following areas desired: Accounting, Mergers, Divestitures and Acquisitions, PeopleSoft HRMS (or other HR Systems), ADP, NGA, time and attendance systems, and leading large-scale payroll projects
- Excellent communication skills; strong English language
- Strong team member who works across organizational lines – without boundaries; exceeding the results of the organization and surpassing customer expectations
- Strong process and procedure orientation for continuous process improvements
- Demonstrated drive for excellence in operational support and customer service
- Change management experience and ability to facilitate change
