Accenture Operations provides business process services for specific functions, including finance and accounting; procurement and supply chain; and marketing & sales. We operate business processes with a combination of talent and data, artificial intelligence, analytics and digital technologies, helping clients to improve their productivity, customer experience and performance.
As a Tax Expert you will be responsible for indirect tax compliance for European entities and supporting team members in tax reporting activities.
- Maintain excellent relationship with the Client and within the team
- Prepare and deliver VAT registers for VAT returns
- Prepare Intrastat reports, EC Sales List / EC Purchase List and other VAT related reports if required
- Ensure timely reporting of VAT in compliance with tax operational standards and procedures
- Reconcile VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List / EC Purchase List reporting data
- Support team members or other teams (AP, AR) on correct tax treatment and VAT coding
- Provide advice and assistance on a wide variety of VAT questions and issues across Europe
- VAT reporting review
- Support projects in taxes
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, drive new implementations increasing the quality or automation in VAT reporting
- Manage VAT knowledge within the team
- Perform other tax related daily tasks
- University degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Very good understanding of VAT tax processes and intrastat reporting
- At least 5 years of experience in tax operations or tax compliance
- Professional experience in SSC/BPO or Big4 would be an advantage
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Very good communication and customer service skills
- Practical skills in MS Office tools at a user level, and high in Microsoft Excel skills
- SAP knowledge in tax accounting area
- Analytical skills with proactive approach
- Precision and attention to details, very good organizational skills
