FINANCE ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
Working as anAccounting Supervisor you will play a significant role in the success of this growing organisation, developing and leading high performing team in a fast moving financial services environment. You will be meeting agreed service levels,ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies and driving a culture of continuous improvement. As part of the supervisory responsibilities the person has to ensure that the whole teamadheres to monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements which can consist of Financial or Regulatory Reporting to internal parties, Clients or the right Regulatory body.
TheRole:
- Perform day to day accounting of companies (this includes the booking of daily cash movements, invoices and accruals (interest, fees, taxes) and respective reconciliation of the data)
- Adhere to monthly/quarterly/annual reporting requirements.
- Perform accounting and financial reporting (in line with IFRS) for companies within group structures
- Assist in basic reconciliation tasks for the Consolidation of the entity where required.
- Communicate professionally, and constructively to effectively address and resolve problems with other sections and departments
- Meeting monthly / quarterly reporting deadlines (statutory accounts, cash and bank reconciliations)
- Proper documentation and filing of accounting matters
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all processes
- Respect internal accounting and reporting procedures
We are looking for candidates with:
- University degree (bachelor or masters) in Accounting / Finance
- 2 - 5 years of relevant experience (financial accounting or auditing) in international environment
- Supervisory experience required
- Strong aptitude for numbers and figures
- IFRS awareness
- Working towards professional qualification (i.e. ACCA, CIMA) will be an asset
- Ability to work accurately while meeting strict deadlines
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Fluency in English; German and / or French is an asset
