For one of our clients, we are looking for a person to hold the position of Financial Controller in Warsaw.
The Financial Controller will be accountable for financial, accounting and controlling related work. The main purpose of the role is managing the Polish end of booking, finance and accounting procedures, providing financial reporting and management accounts for local management.
The Financial Controller will be responsible for producing month end reporting pack (P&L and Balance sheet) complete with all supporting balance sheet re-conciliations;
co-ordinating the monthly forecast submission with key stakeholders; preparation of monthly management reports and analyses of results; supporting to Managing Director in the daily running of the business and in all matters related to Financial planning, reporting and analysis; coordination with internal and external audit activities; management of receivables (including credit limit analyses and risk control of customers), accounting processes, Internal Controls, treasury functions, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis; local taxation reporting; managing the monthly payroll process with the out-sourced payroll provider and process FX monthly hedging. Additionally, the Financial Controller will be responsible for compliance and systems (compliance with corporate and financial policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements).
The accounting work involves bookkeeping services; liaising with Tax Authorities, preparing Tax Returns (VAT, CIT, PIT, social security), management and accounting Reports; monthly and quarterly reviews, preparing annual financial statements, accounting support in M&A processes, preparing transfer pricing documentation, supporting in challenging decisions of Tax Authorities and work closely with an external accounting provider.
The payroll work involves employee management duties such as, reviewing payroll reports, verifying and reporting on benefit payments and working closely with an external payroll provider.
The ideal Candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience working within finance or accounting. Current knowledge of accounting as well as payroll procedures is essential. An excellent knowledge and experience of MS Excel, Hyperion (HFM) and USGAAP is virtue. A fluent knowledge of English written and spoken is must. A knowledge of JD Edwards is advantage.
