For our Client that has built European Shared Service Centre in Krakow, we are currently looking for experienced, hands – on Finance Manager/ Controller or Shared Services R2R professional, to join our Client organization on the position of Director, Finance Reporting EMEA Finance and Operations Service Centre.
Reporting to VP Regional Controller EMEA you will be responsible for leading the company’s Controllership function of its captive EMEA Finance Service Centre located in Krakow, Poland. The Controllership function will employ approx. 70 full time staff and will provide our Client’s EMEA business units with Accounts Payable, Financial Reporting (Local and US GAAP), Treasury, Regional Accounting, Financial Systems and Processes and Internal Control support.
Working on this position you will be leading controllership function ensuring that the centre is providing high quality and efficient transaction processing, and value added accounting and reporting services to the EMEA business units, maintaining and monitoring key finance process performance metrics and leading and driving business process continuous improvement projects within the Controllership function. Additionally your role will be simplifying and standardizing and further centralizing accounting and finance transactional activities, managing a team of up to 7 direct reports and over 60 indirect reports, partnering with Regional and International Controllership functions to ensure balance sheet integrity, compliance with internal control policies and procedures (including SOX) and regulatory guidelines (e.g. IFRS, US GAAP and local statutory requirements) for all activities managed by the EMEA FOSC.
Moreover you will be leading the relationship and activities associated with internal and external audits of the EMEA FOSC, including timely resolution of any identified issues or risks, measuring Controllership performance against established service level agreements and communicating with customers on the results. You will be managing relationships with key Controllership and business stakeholders including responding to service delivery questions and issues and have responsibility for budgeting and forecasting activities, financial planning and analysis of the Controllership function within the EMEA FOSC. You will have responsibility for overseeing all tax affairs, statutory accounting and fiscal issues and ensuring adherence to all local fiscal and corporate regulations of the EMEA FOSC
We are looking for professionals with at least 10 years’ plus experience at managerial level within Finance / Accounting in an International company. Prior experience of managing within a Finance Shared Service organization will be strong asset, however good all round knowledge of local corporate and income taxes, local GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP is a must. Professional qualification(s), public accounting experience and/or Chartered Accountant or equivalent desired, as well as very strong management and interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership and team player skills.
We seek ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, experienced with ERP systems, both use and implementation, knowledge of Hyperion and Oracle is advantageous. Fluency in English including spoken and written capabilities is a must, as well as excellent ability to communicate in a professional way with stakeholders at all levels, both external and internal to the organization. Process and continuous improvement orientation and extremely strong customer and partner focus is needed.
