Over 200 employees have already joined the ranks of the new financial center, whose headquarter is located in Poznan.
The Polish financial center is a part of GSK global operating model, responsible for serving the European region in terms of Planning & Reporting and Close & Control activities, as well as more complex accounting activities. Similar two units, responsible for serving Americas, as well as for Asia and Australia, are located in Costa Rica and Malaysia respectively. Our regional finance hubs will be centers of expertise that will work together as one finance team to share best practice and knowledge, working closely with other markets and colleagues from our global headquarters in London.

You will lead a finance team located in Poznan and a BPO team located in India, your responsibilities will include – but exhaustively:
- People management (lead and motivate), cascading strategy and vision, control of daily workload whilst also developing and coaching the team in alignment with GSK values and expectations
- Driving delivery and performance of the Poznan team and the process service line provided by BPO for Europe
- Ensure timely and accurate service delivery for all processes performed by the team at the Hub and BPO
- Monitor reporting periodic closing activities in line with accounting standards, group policies and procedures for a set of given markets
- Monitor the day to day BPO delivery of operations, designing, embedding and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) [Lead & Lag] and Service Level agreements (SLAs), ensuring customer issues are identified and promptly resolved and proactively identifying any issues or risks to the service.
- Drive BPO adoption of standard practices and consistency ways of working in service delivery across the region through GSK policies, tools and processes
- Escalate issues through FS governance, including Service Alerts where required, having clearly identify blockers, support required and proposing solutions
- work collaboratively across different processes, functions to close escalation
- ensure effectively controls and regulatory compliance are met through applicable policies, procedures and processes performed by BPO
- work collaboratively with other regions to support projects, and processes automation
- Basic qualifications:
- Accounting degree or qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience
- Ability to manage and develop staff
- Experience of running a month end process
- Fluent English (minimum C1)
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Preferred qualifications:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A second European language is a bonus
- Knowledge of SAP will be preferred
- Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
