About the project: We are looking to expand our team with a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. Successful candidate will join client High Performance Computing team This is a small team of an HPC Subject Matter Expert and an HPC Developer, which will be overseen by the Head of Cloud Engineering and Automation. The responsibility of the team is to provide a stable performant High Performance Computing platform for the Front Office Systems applications. This includes liaising with the server platform teams who support the underlying on-premise hardware, and the cloud engineering team who oversee the Azure platform.
In addition to the day to day responsibilities, a major focus for the year will be the upgrade of the HPC platform, exploring the use of Linux nodes for workloads, and increasing automation to reduce the hands-on management

About working environment: Our team primary locations are Kiev, Warsaw. We are working remotely in client environment. Currently the team operates fully in WFH mode.
- Ensure the availability, stability and performance of the High Performance Computing (HPC) platform is suitable for the business requirements.
- Support the HPC users from the Front Office Systems division.
- Oversee and implement the upgrade from HPC 2012 to HPC 2019.
- Liaise with the Windows platform for the upgrade of the Windows servers from Windows 2008 / 2012 to Windows 2016.
- Implement automated monitoring and housekeeping of the platform.
- Review and optimise the existing PowerShell scripts as well as extend the automation functionality further.
- Stay informed of the latest developments within HPC and provide recommendations on how best to use the platform given the latest advances.
- Review the existing on-premise and cloud-based platform and make recommendations for cost-savings, and increasing performance.
- Skills/Experience:
- Strong development experience and ability to use automation to solve problems
- Windows administration experience for troubleshooting and tuning the platform
- PowerShell experience
- Microsoft HPC experience or similar
