Under direct supervision, the IT Remote Support Specialist II provides global remote IT support for employees and partners utilizing the IT Desktop infrastructure. The IT Remote Support Specialist may act as a liaison with Information Technology first, second, and third level support groups, BIM/PIM organizations, business and vendors. The IT Remote Support specialist provides second tier support to end-users for PC, server, network, printers, and other network attached devices. The IT Remote Support Specialist provides technical support for all enterprise and business specific software.
- Manages day-to-day Break/Fix and RFS work for workstations, printers, servers, LAN and messaging devices for all assigned facilities.
- Acts as the liaison into specialized support groups to assist in expediting the support processes.
- Works with IT Remote Support Manager and assigned Queue Manager to understand priorities and focus areas in order to act as efficient issue resolution resource.
- Requires general to little direct supervision in handling any routine to highly technical problems as well as manage and prioritize a dynamic work environment.
- Manages vendor warranty and break/fix work. May assist in the desktop, server and LAN procurement process.
- Maintain accurate documentation including inventory, ticket tracking, time tracking for assigned project work.
- Limited amount of travel between supported sites and facilities may be required.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Degree in Information Technologies or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of Information Technologies related experience.
- Demonstrated competence to work with minimum supervision and effectively with all levels in the corporation.
- MCP/A+ certification or equivalent preferred.
