Lead Buyer

Requirements:

• Degree in Economics or Business Studies
• 4-6 years of experience in retail/consumer goods purchasing,
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Outstanding analytical skills
• Interest in retail, e-commerce and high online affinity
• Fluent English
• Willingness to travel

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to define and execute a strategy for developing the assigned key food suppliers together with the Head of Purchasing European Lead accounts
• Key contact for negotiating and specifying framework conditions with suppliers
• Actively managing the relationship with existing suppliers in close cooperation with Accounting, Category Management and other Supply Chain functions e.g. to ensure application of agreed terms & conditions and product availability
• Observing the external performance and strategy of the key multi-national food suppliers and maintaining a network with the key stakeholders
• Optimization of TCO in cooperation with the suppliers
• Constant monitoring of supplier performance and internal presentation of results to head of department and Management Board
• Observation of all relevant sourcing markets including search for new suppliers and different sourcing opportunities
