Perimeter Security Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Represent the IT Security department on Perimeter Management programme
- Design new security processes related to Company Perimeter
- Develop and provide input into various project-related documents, like implementation or remediation plans, system Technical Designs etc.
- Contribute into perimeter technical standards and relevant security policies (like firewall configuration hardening guidelines or firewall rule base optimisation)
- Shape the project scope, and co-decide on its approach (eg firewall management software architecture, rule base related alerts remediation approach, features enabled / disabled, testing and amendments required etc.)
- Supervise project activities (ie work of 3rd Party Implementation Partner and Business Analysts or appointed Technical Resources), engage into prioritisation on issue resolution and moving things forward
- Work towards developing Target Operating Model (TOM) for Company Perimeter
- Ensure the quality of changes being implemented
- Participate in tests and other quality checks throughout project lifecycle, tracking bug resolution and feature enhancements requests etc.
Requirements:
- Excellent understanding of security and network technologies
- Degree level in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Security
- Three or more years of professional experience in network and security administration, IT Security research, security penetration testing, vulnerability research or security technology consulting
- Minimum of one year"s experience in network perimeter engagements
- One or more professional qualifications confirming general security skills and product-specific knowledge (confirmed with major vendors certifications)
- Excellent understanding of security and network technologies
- Experience with at least one large-scale network or security project
- Ability to write very good project papers, high-level (eg system architecture, risk analysis) and low-level (hardening guidelines) documentation
- Very good understanding of IT networks and perimeter technologies (Firewalls/Routers/VPN technologies)
- Knowledge of various Firewall Management solutions (market leading vendors)
- Understanding of Risk Assessment / Risk Analysis principles
- Proven ability to translate technical jargon into business language
- Experience in information gathering and analysis / influencing others
- Ability to supervise 3rd Party suppliers/analysts
- Experience in performing user tests and defining acceptance criteria
- Good understanding of security principles and industry best practices
- Ability to work in project environment, under defined schedule, deadlines and deliverables
- Take and shift priorities working on multiple work streams simultaneously
- Proficiency in English
