We are looking for a professional to join our team that will support our Client as a Procurement Specialist.

To be successful in this position, you are/ have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent required; post graduate studies in procurement preferred
- Procurement experience in the machine and/or plant engineering branch
- Solid procurement processes and practices understanding
- Proven record of working efficiently and successful in a team
- Strong communication skills
- Capable of handling stress and exuding calm in stressful situations
- Secure command of English - any other additional language skills would be an advantage
- A high level of computer skills is essential - SAP for Procurement activities, MS-Office
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work organized and setting the right priorities under pressure
- Open and eager to learn new things
- Negotiation and contractual skills are of advantage
As a Procurement Specialist, you will:
- Place purchase orders based on received Purchase Requisition
- Support RFQ process for non-priced items
- Follows up purchase order confirmations
- Support in expediting the purchase orders (the timely manufacturing of supplier)
- Handle purchase invoicing
- Support in claims processing to suppliers
- Updating supplier data
- Report the supplier performance to supplier database
In this position you should also:
- Demonstrate cooperative team effort within work/project group. Work effectively with other groups and departments, internal or external
- Demonstrate respect for others and act in an appropriate and professional manner
- Assess and prioritize work requirements; follow and execute plans in a timely manner and accept advice and/or direction well
