Procurement Team Leader - for a new client

We are looking for a candidate to lead a brand new team of Procurement Process Specialists for our new client - Nufarm.

Nufarm is a global company of Australian origin and provides a wide range of top quality crop protection products.

It is now ranked the 9th largest crop protection company in the world.

• Manages a small team of procurement specialists 


• Ensures the delivery of a high quality, customer focused service on a daily basis to the client in accordance with agreed SLA/KPIs


• Demonstrates knowledge of respective procurement processes and procedures 


• Receives and reviews complex purchase requisitions for compliance 


• Releases completed requisitions for approval 


• Manages free-text flow requisitions and conducts competitive bidding using e-procurement tools 


• Initiates new vendor set-up requests 


• Transmits POs to suppliers and manages order confirmation 


• Expedites delivery when needed/requested 


• Manages goods/services claims 


• Amends or closes Purchase Orders 


• Files documents according to procedures for audit purposes


• Escalation point for advanced customer queries 


• Continually strives to identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and improve processes and systems, 


• Proactively shares knowledge and best practices, supervise trainings to the current and future delivery team members. Ensure that processes are understood and being followed by the team members 


• Continually seeks out ways to improve Client satisfaction

• Min 3 years of experience within operational procurement


• 2 years of people management experience, preferably in BPO/shared service


• Fluent oral and written skills in English language


• Good decision making skills


• Working e-procurement tools knowledge


• Good computer literacy, easily learns new applications


• Very good customer service skills and Client-focus attitude


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Good analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail


• Good numerical and business reporting skills


• Ability to work under pressure


• Well organized and able to prioritize tasks


• Teamwork approach


• University or college degree, preferably in economics
