This role entails leading project/s of strategic enhancements to the Emerging Markets Local Currency Risk platform used by Trading, Product Control and Risk Management. It requires experience in both Project Management and ideally technical Business Analysis.
The successful candidate is expected to develop metrics, communicate major milestones, identify potential project risks, provide continuing direction to the project team, conduct regular status meetings to review project activities, and communicate timely updates to management. The PM is also responsible for managing scope changes (i.e., change management) and project acceptance procedures.
An element of business analysis will be required in this role. Additional responsibilities include development tasks, continuous improvement, ad-hoc analysis work are also possible.
The Project Manager may liaise with Traders, Product Controllers, Risk Managers, Quantitative Strategists, Developers and QA in each location and determine the best possible way to achieve delivery to agreed timelines.
Essential:
- University degree - any discipline
- At least 2 years of experience in a project management capacity preferably in a front office development environment
- Involvement in the full project lifecycle
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Negotiation skills
- Methodical, analytical approach to problem solving
- Good communicator with peers, managers and business users
- Ability to take ownership of issues and follow to resolution; delivery-focused

Desirable:
- MS in Quantitative field (Computer Sciences, Physics, Maths), BA certifications, PMP or Prince Certification
- Knowledge of products in at least one of the following areas:
- Fixed Income Derivatives
- Credit Derivatives
- Equity Derivatives
- Knowledge of one of the following areas:
- Front office trading practices and risk management techniques, with an emphasis on quantitative expertise
- UML, XML and Object-Oriented Design
- Trade lifecycle and workflow

Systems provide the official valuations and risk to the reporting functions of Product Control, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Financial Control, Collateral, Client Statements and Treasury.
This is a fast paced, dynamic environment driven by a combination of new business, regulatory projects and optimization of the environment. Providing effective solutions to our clients often involves harnessing the latest technologies, whether this is delivering a new framework for trader facing tools or benchmarking and optimizing code for the latest processors for inclusion in the 14,000+ core Monte Carlo farm which runs 24 x 7 supporting the front office analytic risk calculations.
Business deals across multiple asset classes namely, bonds, FX, interest rate, credit and derivatives. In effect we are a compendium of the Fixed Income business as a whole that deals in markets across tens of emerging market countries and 8 locations.
