As the QA Engineer you'll be the heart and soul of the software development process. You'll provide the critical input for the final “go / no-go” call to ship the products. In BLStream you'll develop your QA skills - not only in black-box testing, but also in using test automation and other testing techniques and tools in everyday work.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Software testing
- Preparing and maintaining the testing environment
- Developing and executing test plans, test scripts and test summary reports as required
- Operating test tools (e.g. automated test tools, log analyzers) facilitating tests execution
- Participating in project sprint planning, execution, testing and releases on Scrum methodology
- Test results analysis, comparison and documentation in bug tracking systems
Required Skills:
- Understanding of software development and testing methodologies (white box and black box testing, regression testing, load/stress testing)
- Experience with Continuous Integration
- Experience with test automation (e.g. Python)
- Experience with web test automation (Selenium)
- Good written and spoken English
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with others and an attention to detail
Advantageous Skills:
- Hands-on network/system administration experience
- Hands-on experience in a software development environment
- Experience in performance testing and benchmarking of new applications including web applications
- Scrum (or other Agile) development method experience
