Purpose of the role

Co-ordinate the governance of sets of data and information, including definitions that form the finance information model across the businesses

Drive continuous improvement to align information model elements where required a across the group, and respond to OpCo specific business requirements changes, ensuring SLAs are met and changes are communicated to ensure stakeholder agreement

Accountabilities

• Develop the information governance framework for DS under the direction of the Data Quality and Production Manager and assimilate input from relevant finance stakeholders, led by IAG group business finance and GBS finance leads
• Coordinate and maintain this framework including processes, roles, standards and policies. This will take account of master data management, finance systems and risk and compliance considerations
• Review recommended revisions with the Data Quality and Production Manager for communication to the OpCos, ensuring change controls are in place.
• Undertake continuous evaluation of change control process, the compliance with governance policies and standards and the overall performance of the governance organisation. Make recommendations for improvements that enhance the framework.
• Maintenance and governance of finance information model dimensions and measurement definitions (key performance indicators)
• Own the maintenance and governance of shared information architecture hierarchies
• Control user access to reference data within agreed parameters
• Provide insights and input into data assumptions that are used for templates, standard reports and planning
• Maintain key dimensions including management units and the chart of accounts ensuring accuracy of account mapping
• Provide input that informs the development of a business proposition, where required, for changes to the finance information and data landscape

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications
• Working towards professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

Experience
• 3-5 years relevant experience in a finance systems / data management reporting analysis role in an international company
• Project accounting experience, ideally on multi-disciplinary projects
• Experience working in a fast-paced, complex global organisation with finite resources
