SAP MM Business Analyst

Main tasks:
The IT Business Analyst - SAP will work in a team environment to support, recommend and deliver technology enabled business processes in the areas of Materials Management - Inventory, Purchasing & Interfaces. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Supply Chain processes and have experience performing design in the area.
The applications in scope include SAP ECC, EDI (electronic data interchange), MES, plus any additional Global Supply Chain approved operating model applications.
- understand, design, build, implement and sustain best practice solutions for the functional area,
- define and document functional specifications for custom developed applications based on business requirements,
- configure SAP MM and other related applications to enable defined business processes and complete configuration documentation,
- perform testing to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the solution,
- identify, assess impact, and provide recommendation for resolution of issues related to business processes, procedural and system changes; escalate problems of high complexity and severity,
- perform sustain activities in the assigned area – end-user support as needed by resolving help desk tickets,
- analyze and understand complex user information flows and business data to support decision making and effectively present information,
- evaluate alternative procedural and systematic solutions that meet needs while maintaining business standards,
- execute proof of concept testing in a cross team environment to validate design assumptions,
- ensure the business group’s needs are being met and that assignments are delivered on time by participating in project/planning meetings and communicating regularly with team and management,
- work cohesively with other Information Technology resources, Business Analysts on other App Services teams, business Center of Excellence representatives and Process Information Management,
- support IT innovation projects, process redesign and strategy aiming at continuous improvement,
- support knowledge sharing culture.
Requirements:
- IT SAP experience in at least one of the following areas: Material Management (MM), Logistics Execution (LE), Sales and Distribution (SD),
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, logistics or related field preferred,
- expertise with IDOC, EDI and ALE processes,
- expertise with SAP Inventory Management and Purchasing preferred,
- ABAP debugging skills would be an asset,
- experience with integration between the SAP modules and external systems,
- strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills,
- ability to work in multiple business areas in a constantly changing environment,
- very good in English.
