Responsibilites
DevOps lead in new monitoring project, which is cover:
*Infrastructure *Monitoring of data processing *Ability to see the picture on a given COB
Requirements
- Strong experience in using application, system software and infrastructure open source and commercial monitoring tools (Geneos, iControl, Nagios, Zenoss, HP Opsmgr, BMC, Tivoli, Opsview, etc). Good understanding of how the monitoring tools are used by operations.
- Strong knowledge of application and system software monitoring principles and practice. Some knowledge of infrastructure monitoring principles and practice.
- Scripting experience (shell, bash, perl, python).
- Linux/Unix administration experience.
- The ability to analyse and understand complex technical systems built from many separate software components.
- Good technical understanding of working within a connected and distributed environment model of multiple applications and the issues.
- Documentation skills with experience of creating support documentation for users and the Operations Team.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills.
