- Working as a part of global and diversified team to test changes to the application;
- Create test plans and design test cases based on requirements / user stories provided by the BA and /or development team;
- Run tests on the application using UIs, spreadsheets and automated test tools;
- Perform initial analysis of failed tests;
- Communicate the results of tests and analysis back to the project team;
- Maintain and update test cases based on continuous feedback;
- Capture and report any defects throughout test execution.
- Over 4 years of Quality Assurance and Testing professional experience;
- Deep knowledge of SW Development Lifecycle;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (professional proficiency);
- Database knowledge / ability to write queries (SQL / Oracle);
- Great analytical, problem solving and quick decision making skills;
- Proactive and self-motivated;
- Excellent Team Player;
- Willingness to take initiative and responsibility;
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, TDD.
Nice to have:
- Investment Banking exposure;
- MSc or BSc degree in IT;
- ISTQB certification;
- Experience in using JIRA and HP Quality Centre / ALM (or equivalent tools)
The Department is responsible for all sales and trading activities across all geographic locations globally. As one of the most rewarding aspects of working in department is exposure to the huge variety of products in a very dynamic market, it also means that the biggest challenge is to gain an in depth understanding of these products in order to better serve the needs of clients today, and whatever the market will bring tomorrow. As the applications in scope are complex, testing defects are not necessarily an indication of a problem with the system. Therefore when defects are discovered during testing, the candidate will be able to perform an analysis to determine the appropriate cause of action before handing over to the development team.
In order to achieve this it is expected the person will quickly develop:
- understanding of the application architecture;
- understanding of the purpose of the application and how it fits into the global business.
