Software Tester for Mobile Communication Device

Project description
Project is focused on quality assurance for mobile telecommunication modules. These modules are industrial-quality products which provide any system with the ability to communicate over a cellular network. Before releasing such a product to the market, it has to be profoundly tested to make sure it will work well in a real network. This requires validating a product based on a dedicated test specification provided by the 3GPP or GSMA standards by means of a high-end protocol test equipment.
You will be responsible for
- Software validation of embedded systems (telecommunication)
- Manual testing, executing automated tests of typical mobile communication scenarios (i.e. handover, roaming, cell reselection, CS/PS connection)
- Setting up and configuring a test environment
- Log file analysis (QXDM)
- Working with testing equipment (protocol testers)
- Defect reporting and investigation
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in 2G, 3G or 4G protocol testing
- Very good knowledge of GSM, UMTS or LTE
- Very good knowledge of 3GPP or GSMA standard.
- Good English – spoken and written
- Ability to take responsibility for tasks realization and high quality assurance
- Effective communication skills
- Fulfilling commitments and willingness to show initiative
Preferences
- Hands-on experience in working with mobile radio communications testers (i.e. R&S CMW500)
- Familiar with QXDM tracing tool
