There will be enough opportunity to learn other technologies like Sybase, IQ, RainStor and Oracle.
Most challenging tasks are as follows
- Perform pro-active reviews of the Shared cluster and stabilise them.
- Managing Incident Management calls
- Supporting complex environment like PrimeSwap, ForeFront and Scenarios
*Minimum 3 years’ experience in a banking environment preferably as an operational Database administrator. *Experience with being on-call and working a shift-based rota, and appreciation of weekend working practices and change management. Ability to manage own workload and work independently for prolonged periods *Training/experience *MS SQL 2000/2005/2008 *MS SQL Server replication *3 years DBA experience preferably as INFRASTRUCTURE or DEVELOPEMENT DBA. *Good verbal and written communication skills. *Bachelors Degree or IT/Business/Finance related Bachelors Degree *SQL Scripting.
CTO Group is responsible for providing all technology and associated infrastructure services This division reports directly to the CTO who represents IT on the EXB. The division consists of several sub-departments including Technology Business Partners, Chief Architecture Infrastructure, Global Products & Services, Global Production Control, IT-TIS COO and Hosting Services (HS).
The position in question is within the Hosting Services, Database department which is responsible for providing all operational Database services.
