Our client is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm that provide a wide range of financial services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments and individuals.
We are currently hiring a team of software engineers, data engineers and SRE/DevOps.
Current main project objectives:
- Moving large scale on-prem data warehousing to Cloud
- Building single consolidated batch and streaming data pipeline
- Rebuilding heavily used reference data master systems (Client, Product, Account) from scratch, also looking to move to Cloud
- Open Sourcing our Data Platform
- Moving from database replication to more modern data distribution techniques - APIs, Streaming, Cloud, etc
- Maintaining architecture and data structure
- Performance and Optimization of code and queries
- Maintain infrastructure
1/ BA/BS in Computer Science, equivalent STEM focus, or relevant software engineering/SRE/DevOps experience 2/ Ability to pass intermediate level CoderPad review in Java language. 3/ Strong software engineering and programming skills (preferably Java) and openness to work in proprietary programming languages/environments 4/ Proficiency with operational infrastructure and system administration such as Unix/Linux experience is a solid plus 5/ Experience in data and data infrastructures such as databases, SQL, NoSQL, building operational dashboards with SLOs, etc is solid plus
