Responsibilities:
- Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for system administration and support tasks
- Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale
- Close collaboration with the Infra Operations Team
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, upgrades, and resource optimization as required
- Provides occasional on-call support during night/public holidays
Requirements:
- Sybase/SAP ASE, IQ, and Replication Servers/HADR - (12.5.3 through 16.0 ASE) (Sybase Certified DBA) VLDB > TB
- Great experience in database administration, development, data modeling and developing Sybase ASE stored procedures, triggers, replication solutions and advanced SQL queries, migration (ETL), isql bcp, ksh, csh, bash, perl, cExpertise in security (encryption, auditing, granular permissions), query optimization strategies, concurrency management, locking contention, isolation levels and database performance
- Very good knowledge of Redhat Linux (6.x and 7.x) and Solaris (5.10 and 5.11)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (2008 / 2012 / 2016)
- Wide range troubleshooting skills involving, Active Directory, Storage, Security, DNS / DHCP, Server hardware
- Fluent English
