The role involves:
The ability to create cross functional processes that ensure that vertical testing streams are coordinated within the various functional and external areas.
To work with virtual testing teams to ensure full end to end functionality of systems changes are tested and validate that all governance around testing such as assuring entry and exit criteria are met.
To provide single voice to the customer on the status of projects which have multiple functional disciplines. Assuring that there are communications to the Stakeholders and development teams on a regular basis by completing overview presentations and delivery of them to multiple levels of the organization.
To implement standard operating procedures for testing cross functional projects.
Working as strategic partner to testing managers, development managers and team members.
Will support additional working hours where required to align to key project milestones and deliverables, which includes weekend and some US hours overlap during key stages of delivery.
This candidate has tremendous opportunity to interact with Multiple Product Line leads in both IT and Business Lines in planning End to End Project Book of Work.
Mandatory:
Test Management/Integration test management experience (5y+)
Testing experience on Message based distributed Systems in order to lead and mentor others and define Test Approach when required for new functionality introduced
Understanding of Messaging and XML to assist in escalation and articulation of Integration Defects to Development & IT BAs
Hands on experience of basic SQL to assist in Defect Investigation on some occasions
Great client focusing communication skills, both written and spoken
Strong and deep knowledge on process management with good project management skills
Prior implementation experience on process framework implementation and cross functional team management
Strong experience in working with all stages of software development lifecycle
Working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies,
Knowledge of various stages of software quality assurance including Black Box Testing, White Box testing, Performance, Stress and Load testing, requirements analysis, test planning, reporting/control and root cause analysis
Knowledge of Process Reengineering, cross team management, good communication skills, Metrics and KPI's
Experience in Manual Testing, QA, Testing Processes and Methodologies, Shared Services methodologies
Analyze requirements, functional and technical specifications to define test scope and test approach.
Investment Banking process knowledge
Desirable:
ISTQB certifications (Advance Test Manager, Advanced Test Analyst), PMI, PMP or MBA
5+ years of experience in QA / SW Testing / SW Development and Test Management
Work within centralized testing organization with a focus on the OTCD Derivatives Regulatory reform project. He/She will act as the Project Test Manager for this work stream and would be the owner of overall Test Management and Processes involved throughout the project for Front Office as well as testing flow to the Back Office and external vendors.
