Job Description
This role will provide the individual with the opportunity to join an existing UNIX project delivery team, providing infrastructure solutions for the ICG/CTO/DCIS sectors. Working in close partnership with data centre, project office, architecture, engineering and business technology teams to deliver enterprise class infrastructure solutions to our clients. Within the project delivery environment flexibility is often required depending on project timelines and the customer requirements
- Build and configuration of server based solutions including clusters
- Configuration of hardware from HP, IBM and Sun, using OS versions of RedHat, AIX and Solaris
- Trouble-shooting and resolution of faults
- Root Cause Analysis of infrastructure related issues
- Customer liaison providing support and guidance to technology teams
- Attendance and participation of project meetings
- Monitoring of infrastructure capacity
- Project-driven application deployments
- Adherence to CATE build standards
- DR testing and documentation
- Production Handovers & Procedural checks
- Produce status reports and MIS as required
- Maintain team documentation and procedures
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of working experience in a similar position
- Practical experience in the hardware configuration of HP, IBM and Sun, using a version of the operating system RedHat, Solaris and AIX
- Fluency in English required
