Our Client, a major international company, is a leader in healthcare sector. To maximize its growth potential, we are currently looking for VAT Supervisor to Accounting Team for Central Europe entities.
- VAT tax return data reconciliation and Managing International VAT return filings for one polish and few European entities (VAT-7 and VAT-EU)
- Interpret and keep up to date with VAT law, regulations and notices and provide training and advice to our colleagues and clients on a range of Polish and European VAT areas
- Remain technically up to date in their own field and develop sufficient knowledge of other core business areas to identify needs and direct work assigned by clients
- Review VAT returns and offer specialist support and advice to our accountancy teams and tax colleagues on all issues relating to VAT compliance
- Regular contact with clients and will deal with a variety of issues including: Cross Border Transactions &Electronically supplied services
- Liaising with Revenue & Customs on VAT enquiries
- Intrastat data reconciliation
- Central Statistical Office reporting concerning international services (DNU-K)
- International VAT return submission (VAT-REF)
- Ensure compliance of accounting practices and tax calculations with local statutory requirements
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with implementation efforts for departmental projects and initiatives
- Build and maintain strong working relationship with internal and external customers
- Assist in the preparation of audit requests and respond to audit inquiries here needed
- Support special projects and analysis as assigned
- Follow all internal procedures, especially those related to company ethics and compliance standards
- Perform the selected monthly closing activities in line with corporate deadlines
- University degree in Finance / Accounting
- Minimum 3 years experience including VAT accounting
- Fluent in English
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical/quantitative skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Innovative and forward thinker with a proactive approach, ability to identify and implement process improvement
- Proficient in MS Word, Advanced Excel
- Knowledge of SAP or JD Edwards will be a plus
- Experience in Pharma industry will be a plus
