Key responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of Customer Care Specialists in the performance of their responsibilities, ensuring compliance and responsiveness to customer requirements. This includes: answering customer inquiries about products and services; creating, receiving, processing, expediting, and troubleshooting orders; generating order and sales information for internal and external customers
- Manage your team ( ca. 10 people) including tasks such as of team development, succession planning, people and career development and performance management
- Develop and implement an optimized process workflow to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Drive customer/market cross training and the adoption of new processes and tools within the Customer Care Team
- Develop and maintain key performance measures
- Prioritize and balance workload requirements within the team
- Establish and maintain internal network of commercial and operations contacts to ensure coordination with business sales strategy
- Represent Customer Care on cross-functional teams – for example such as Sales Organization, Supply Chain, Knowledge Management
If you meet the following requirements:
- Must be fluent in English. Further languages are a plus
- Proven experience with a Key Account
- Proven leadership skills – including the ability to negotiate and resolve issues across multiple functions within the organization
- Proven history of managerial expertise – including the ability to lead by example, navigate conflict resolution, motivate, mentor and coach
- Demonstrated ability with time management, and problem solving
- Excellent communication skills - friendly, confident manner with all levels
- Strong project management and communications skills to direct internal teams
- Proficiency with Windows, MS Office Suite, SAP/ECC and Internet Explorer required
- Willingness and ability to travel to other Corning sites and customers as needed
- Relevant experience in delivering and managing a Customer Support organization
- Demonstrated track record of successful customer service business results, including delivering agreed service levels, training levels and process improvement initiative
- Experience in the telecom industry is desired
- Work experience in a Commercial function
- Work experience in a global company
- Demonstrated track record of working with multiple functions within Corning and/or the customer to close a sale
