One of our client is Europe's leading e-tailer for pet food and pet supplies. With an annual double-digit growth rate and a predicted revenue about 875 million Euro in 2016, we have already successfully rolled out our business model in 26 European countries and we are expecting further sustainable growth in European e-commerce.
What you will be responsible for
- Implement and improve our build and deployment systems, environment and infrastructure to get changes rolled out faster and with confidence
- Design and deploy monitoring, metrics, logging systems and fault detection strategies
- Measure everything, improving our Time to Detect and Time to Respond
- Experience working with container and virtualization technologies (Docker, VSphere, AWS)
- Familiar with provisioning and config management frameworks (puppet, chef, salt, ansible, cloud-init, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure Services such as service discovery, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, OAuth2
- Development Experience in Java, Go, Ruby or Python and Scripting Knowledge in bash, perl
- You love to automate anything you've done more than twice
- Affinity for business needs
- Comfortable with the idea of cross-functional teams
- Fluent English, German is a plus
What we are looking for
- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science
- full-time working experience in Software Engineering at least 2 years
- track record in applying test-automation for java based applications
- writing and understanding SQL-queries
- experience within an agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
- strong customer-orientation with positive & result-driven attitude
- fluent in English, German not required (but would be “a plus”)
- ideally background in e-commerce industry
