Job Purpose Statement
Develops, implements and recommends upon high impact / highly complex parts of EMEA business strategies, tactics & market development programmes. These include effective business analysis, short & long range planning, revenue management, service & network development etc.
Conceptualises and implements novel solutions / models / processes that improve decision making and organisational effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities:
• Based on in-depth market knowledge and FedEx expertise develops and recommends high impact commercial policies directly impacting our existing & potential external customers (pricing, service, product, etc. decisions.). Ensures input and buy-in across regions and/or functions, typically up to Senior Management level. Recommends commercial policies in Exec Forums where agreement is reached. Leads implementation of and reporting on agreed commercial policies and leads communication thereof.
• Recommends what Sales and Marketing information systems are required to improve quality and speed of commercial and strategic decision making in EMEA. Leads the development of business cases and recommends on priorities for MIS.
• Defines EMEA Sales and Marketing needs and recommends how these should be reflected in regional and corporate systems.
• Pro-actively advises Senior Management on areas of concern, produces insight and recommends on corrective action.
• Enhances customer value proposition by developing and implementing specific parts of the marketing strategy (e.g. product portfolio management, price and network development).
• Translate these strategies into specific targets and goals for other departments and develops follow up processes on achievement of these targets/goals.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Marketing or a quantitative discipline (Business Degree, Statistics or Masters degree)
• Fluent in English
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Good presentation skills with experience of formal presentations to a senior management audience
• Good knowledge of the 4P marketing concept. (experience in applying 4P marketing knowledge)
• Experience of interpreting volumes of complex data & developing logical conclusions & structuring specific recommendations
• PC literate including good MS Office skills and advanced use of Business Analysis applications
• Good knowledge of the internet environment and understanding of the capabilities of relevant corporate computer systems and data processes with experience of influencing the development
