Market Risk Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Market Risk Analyst to drive the daily initial margin process from a market risk perspective and participate in the market risk reporting process. This is an opportunity for you to become an expert in the Standard Initial Margin Model (SIMM) and risk reporting process and build a network internally in Nordea and externally.

Your future responsibilities
You’ll join Market Risk Control team where we ensure correct daily market risk reporting and compliance to delegated mandates and internal instructions and in addition we are responsible for the SIMM process related to Market Risk sensitivities. We are covering a wide variety of financial products and are striving for continuous improvement of our setup.
What you’ll be doing:
- Daily bilateral reconciliation of sensitivities (Delta and Vega) of SIMM versus Counterparties
- Cooperation with stakeholders from Front Office, Back Office and IT teams
- Internal and external Back testing of the SIMM model
- Understand market risk models and market risk dimensions stemming of approved products, market dynamics and the business models
- Impact assessment of annual recalibration of parameters in SIMM
- Participate in daily market risk reporting
The role is based in Warsaw. Welcome to a team of 12 dedicated controllers based in Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Your profile and background:
- You have an excellent academic background, including a degree in a quantitative discipline, such as finance, economics, statistics/mathematics, sciences or engineering
- Experience with operating within a financial market’s role, risk management, trading, structuring, middle office, preferably in a Risk Management role
- Experience in building tools to analyse financial products and data using e.g. SQL, VBA
- Knowledge of financial products and pricing
- Good communication skills,
- Excellent written and spoken English
