Under general direction, the Global Software Delivery Software Packager/Client Analyst is responsible for evaluating, packaging, testing and releasing software to the enterprise to support GSD objectives. The person will maintain, operate roadmap and support package development tools for IP to enable and deliver software installation packages, software update packages, software removal packages, and software reporting for supported devices. The person will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation to support this position. This position will also have responsibilities of client health. This includes running scan reports and identifying issues with SCCM and DDMI client toolsets.

On this position you will be key member for all software related global projects and initiatives.
- Act as the liaison into Information Technology software management services to coordinate and execute software packaging, testing and approval for all managed software.
- Creates and tests automated installation packages for managed software applications that integrate into current software management strategies and customize the installation of the application. Creates and tests custom scripts to use as utilities for automation of workstation updates.
- Creates and maintains software packaging documentation and test documentation to include standard operating procedures and best practices. Maps out processes and creates workflow diagrams.
- Requires day-to-day management and break/fix work of existing automated software installation packages and software access points for all facilities. Must be capable of prioritizing critical tasks, resolving conflict and resolving complex problems within the Configuration Manager infrastructure. Provides troubleshooting support to first and second level IT support groups for software packages.
- Maintain DDMI Client installation base. Monitoring DDMI Client/Server Communications. Liaison to product owner groups (Regional Support, Telecom, WES, WEA, ITAM). Responsible for DDMI client version lifecycle.
- Requires little to no supervision and capable of handling complex assignments and any technical project from general directions.
- Requires ability to perform project management, direct others and be able to handle single or multiple projects on an enterprise level. Demonstrates good communication skills, accuracy, dependability, timeliness and completeness of assigned work. Also demonstrates maturity in problem solving and independent problem solving skills.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

3 years of experience in IT

Experience using Wise Package Studio, Wilson WindowWare Winbatch Compiler or related software packaging tools,

Experience with SQL, MS Platform scripting such as PowerShell, VB script or Jscript, SCCM Installer, Windows Installer Service and MSI packaging / re-packaging.

Extensive knowledge of the Windows Operations System Environment. Including Windows Registry, file and data structure, application compatibility, User Account Control, Windows Security Framework.

Knowledge on HP Discovery & Dependency Mapping inventory client management will be an asset. This includes knowledge of DDMI Methodology and Understanding of and/or direct experience with scanning solutions such as DDMI 10.X or later or Universal Discovery

Ability to work with support teams and vendors to implement, enhance, and maintain the DDMI platform.

Responsible for client maintenance documentation and the development of detailed design documentation for all customizations.
