We are looking for a dynamic and experienced
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising the function of all kitchen employees, facilities and costs, hence contributes to maximizing the overall Food & Beverage department profit
- Supervising food quality to meet the needs of the guests, compliance with applicable rules and standards
- Implementing and maintaining all Sofitel standards on food safety and quality
- Developing and administrating Food cost, action plans and promotional activities as well as creating new menu
- Be an inspiration to all hotel Ambassadors to achieve and maintain luxury levels of performance
- Responsible for the production, preparation and presentation of all food items.
- Conducting employee hiring and orientation, performance appraisal, coaching to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity
- Developing formal training plans and conducts on job training sessions for kitchen employees
The successful candidate will be a representative of:
- A minimum of two years experience as a Head Chef, 3 years as a Sous Chef in a quality food venue
- Experience in banqueting, outside cocktails, pastry department
- Very good knowledge of French and Polish cuisine
- Knowledge of GMP / GHP / HACCP
- At least secondary gastronomy education
- Innovation, creativity and ingenuity
- A creative passion for working with fresh, locally sourced produce
- Excellent people management skills
- Knowledge of English enables communication for business purposes
- Resistance to stress

- A hands on approach and ability to train, motivate and develop team to succeed
- Developed organizational skills
- Good manners
- The ability to calculate and create recipes in the Material Control will be an asset
- Developing and delivering interesting menus, well presented and achieving budgeted gross profit
