Head of Accounting Group
Location: Warszawa
International Consulting company invites a Head of Accounting Group (Chief Accountant)
Responsibilities
- Managing a team of accountants and payroll specialists: training,
- mentoring, setting goals,
- Bookkeeping standards supervision under Polish Accounting
- Standards and IFRS,
- Providing expert guidance and advisory for the client in accounting,
- tax, payroll & HR matters,
- Ensuring operations compliance with internal control system and
- KPI requirements,
- Establishing a functional process at best practice level,
- Recommending and implementing process improvements,
- Maintain a high level of employee engagement throughout training
- and coaching,
- Verification of CIT, PIT and VAT calculations,
- Verification of tax returns (VAT, PIT, IFT and other required),
- Verification of INTRASTAT returns,
- Verification of returns and reports for the purposes of National
- Bank of Poland, Statistical Office and others, if required,
- Assisting clients during statutory audits and tax controls,
- Supervising daily communication with Clients,
- Daily communication with tax authorities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in leading an accounting team,
- Fluent spoken and written English,
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and taxation topics,
- Excellent customer service, high client orientation and people
- management skills,
- Independence and decision-making skills,
- Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field,
- Team player, proactive, optimistic, enthusiastic, hands-on work
- attitude
- Accuracy, ability to effectively plan time and prioritize,
- Ability to work under time pressure,
- Very good communication skills.
