Purpose
Provide specialized remote support to IP EMEA users and facilities. Under general supervision, acts as liaison with Information Technology second level support groups, facility management, and vendors. Provide second tier support to end-users for PC, server, Blackberry, printers, software installations, mainframe applications and hardware.
- Highly capable technical position. Requires day-to-day management and break/fix work of workstations, printers, servers, LAN for all assigned facilities.
- Acts as the liaison into specialized support groups to assist in expediting the support processes.
- If required direct others or manage day-to-day activities of an assigned team. Reports and works with a manager or assigned team lead to assure that all procedures and policies are handled correctly by other team members.
- Manages vendor warranty and break/fix work. Maintain documentation for the team including inventory, ticket tracking, backup and disaster recovery plan, time tracking and assigned project work.
- Requires general supervision to little direct supervision and capable of handling any routine to highly technical problem and demonstrates good communication skills, accuracy, dependability, timeliness and completeness of assigned work.
- Limited amount of travel between supported sites and facilities may be required.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related Information Systems experience
- Fluent communication skills in English and French.
- Demonstrates competence to work with general supervision
- Communicate effectively with all levels in corporation
- ITIL V3 knowledge will be an asset
